March 2026 - 6 Malamute puppies were born - All placed in active or working homes.
4 boys and 2 girls. Super Duper (red) Astra (turquoise, female) Sleden (blue) Ecko (orange, female) Koyuk (forest green) Ranger (lime).
January 2026 we wrote:
Finally we are ready to expand our pack and add a baby into the group so that we have a team for 2028 onwards. Bisko is in season as of early January 2026 and we have booked an A.I breeding. Progesterone testing has begun. This dog is an American Champion, has had success at UK Crufts dog show and of tough working lines. Finally a nice combination of everything we were looking for and will compliment Bisko attributes too.
Here we are a combination of the dogs from 1990's and early 2000's. Bisko's father was born in 1998 from the Williwaw's kennel, her Mother a Juneau steming from Williwaw's and our Stud was born in 2003. The majority of the pedigree contains : Williwaw, Misty pak's, Black Ice, Sendaishi's, Oopiks and Nanukes.
Huge thank you here to Bitten of Juneau's for supporting our ideas at the beginning of the friendship of what we had planned for Bisko at the very start. A lovely little female to help create a longer distance sled team. She had huge paw steps to follow and took it in her stride. We hoped she would love back packing, we hoped she would love to be a show dog, we hoped she would bond with us even though she was an import. She just slotted into the family from day 1.
We are aiming for a good working dog that excels in the show ring secondary for fun.
The sire is an American Champion show dog that works well in a team of four showing his temperament and work ethic. He gained his working team dog (WTD), working pack dog (WPD) and gained his roll of merit by producing 9 working dogs with basics, 2 advanced dogs and 2 excellence dogs in weight pull. This may increase as we will be working our puppies when they reach 18 months old.
Bisko is a keen newbie at weight pull, a real social butterfly in her pack of 4, has many firsts at championship shows and just gained her working pack dog - her first American title.
We need dogs that tick all boxes and we think we have gained this with this combination. Both are DNA checked for health issues and we look forward to see what they produce. We think we still have our 'smile' that our kids are so well known for!
Working, knowledgeable homes would be ideal for these puppies.

Forest now named as Koyuk, has a perfect active life on a team of 3 other family malamutes. He will be an active working dog for competition, the odd show and has the best of lives going everywhere with his Mum and Dad. His Mum works from home and so he is never left out. They have a huge campervan all designed around the dogs needs. This is the only way little Forest would leave here as he was staying all the way to week 7.5! We all adored him and he adored the adult dogs here, infact he followed Kebne everywhere, he was the mini me. He had to go to a pack of dogs to thrive. He is foot perfect and stands four square unassisted. An absolute dream boat and I will hopefully meet up with him soon and try NOT to steal him back :D. He will do the odd championship show for fun, backpacking and all other working events.
Mr Lime now 'Ranger' lives the best pet life any dog could ever want! He lives with Mum Tina and Dad Micky, who have years worth of experience in the breed. They needed a special boy to join them after a painful loss many years ago. He was just perfect for them. He loves people more than dogs and always on the go. He wasn't fussed being in the pack of dogs making him a complement to what was on offer. He had far more coat that we like in the show ring and had a tail that was too tight to be shown. This made him a pet, even though he had the best bone and front then all the others. He was ideal to be shown, just the tail really couldnt be over looked. Typical when you have such an ideal pup of quality supstance! Ranger lives down in Essex and he goes to Cornwall for his regular holidays and is never left alone as Mum is now retired and Dad works from home most of the week. This was another perfect home.
I could not be happier of where both my 'baby greens' and the last 2 born have now been placed.

Little Miss Astra was nearly staying too. We had her on our Fosse data show entry just incase. She was something special and needed the best of homes. She was going to Canada, but the home was not right for her and I needed her closer to home. She lives down in Winchester with Champion judge Ange, who has given her the best of starts with her malamute brother 'Biddles'. She will be lightly shown with KC obedience and back packing on 10 mile hikes when she is old enough. She may come back for our next generation and will be fully health tested.
Little Miss Ecko was an absolute barrel of fun from tiny. She reminded me of the licky and loving Glacier as a baby. I just adored her. I'm so glad she has gone to live with Championship judge Nicola and Stuart, where she will flourish with an active life of showing, backpacking when old enough and playing with her other malamute family - the Sledog pack. She lives down in South Lincolnshire, will be fully health tested and highly likely to be the next generation of 'Iceclimb' puppies for 2029.
