Special and sadly missed Kinley - Hyteton Apollokinley
We lost Kinley after a long battle with Cushing's disease . Our first Malamute who traveled the depth of the UK climbing the Wainwrights in the Lake District and many mountains in Wales and Scotland. She had her own back pack but never used it as she was far too posh to ever work. A real character and only did what she wanted when she wanted. She never wanted a cuddle or attention and would just sit and plot against me I'm sure. My own little mountain goat who would carefully place ever paw to perfection on any rock surface. She loved the tent and we spent many weekends in the hills watching the sun go down. She loved show training and introduced us to this crazy life changing world and new friends that became my best. She was lightly shown for her first three years until she just decided it wasn't that much fun and felt the need to embarrass me by doing the zoomies on her lead in the middle of the show ring. Three times she humiliated me to a beetroot colour, and I could take no more. She got her own way again. She was lightly worked until she decided any more then 6 meters of effort just wasn't worth the fish dinner and would just sit down in defiance knowing we have to go home early and spoil Mackenzie's training. One in a million. Missed every single day. Her last year I will never forget. For once she actually needed me. She was a puppy again needing triple the care in the previous years. It was a pleasure to serve you my sweet soul. Sweet dreams until we meet again baby girl, and I will assure you I'll run miles to find you... xx
